Science! The Magic All Around Us

As most of us know, magic tricks bring smiles to all sorts of people’s faces, young and “young-at-heart”! But did you know that most of the magic tricks that amaze us in magic shows and on tv are actually performed using scientific principles? That’s right! Science is behind the magic tricks and illusions many of us love to watch. Teaching your students about the relationship between science and “magic” can be an entertaining and effective way for students to develop a desire to learn more about science. You can even use magic tricks to teach them about science!

Winter Chemistry Activity: Instant Snow!

Whether you’re up north, where snow piles up for months, or down south, where snowfall is rare, kids are fascinated by snow! As educators, we love it too: it’s chemistry happening right before our eyes! But do you know how it works? It’s a well-known fact that our fingerprints are completely unique to each of us. Mobile Ed Productions, Inc. has an easy forensic science experiment that will help your students take a closer look at the patterns that make us unique while laying a foundation for how science is used in crime investigation. For educators that teach remotely, this project can easily be completed at home.
