Science Programs

It would be impossible to mention all the different types of assembly programs available to schools, but we can discuss the more prevalent and common types and themes.

Let’s start with science programs, a particular favorite of ours since we have been bringing these to schools for 31 years! Science programs are always well liked by schools because they almost always tie into core curriculum goals, and by kids because science naturally lends itself to exciting demonstrations. We offer shows on ChemistryPhysicsLightForensicsAstronomyAnatomyClimate ChangeEarth and Environmental Science, as well as Natural Science or live animal programs. And we are not alone. There are many companies and individuals that offer similar programs, ranging from local science museums, and ex-teachers to ventriloquists and magicians. Some will use only pure science, as in demonstrations of the freezing capacity of liquid nitrogen, or the results of combining Mentos candies with cola products (a spurting geyser -  you will love it but it makes a real mess!). Some involve hands-on activities which have been proven to increase the ability of students to retain what they learn. We feel proud of this area as we were one of the first to offer hands-on activities with our programs, and continue to do so today (In fact, many of our competitors learned about science by watching and participating in our programs when they themselves were still in school!).

Others try to get their points across by substituting magic or other entertainment “gimmicks” instead. Again, which you will like better is a matter of personal preference. But I can confide that the teachers at my school were always happier with the former!
