Illinois School Assemblies - Finding The Right Show

Written by Geoff Beauchamp | Mon, Aug 1, 2011

Finding the right school assembly or enrichment program for your school can be tough. There are a lot of performers, acts and companies from which to choose. How do you know which is best for your needs? How do you know who is professional and who is not, who is talented and who is not, who will meet your needs and budget, and who will not?

For schools fortunate to be near a major city, there is sometimes a good answer. Major metropolitan areas sometimes host assembly program or enrichment program showcases where it is possible to meet directly with a wide variety of presenters and companies, and sometimes see them actually performing.

Just such a school assembly showcase is hosted each year in Skokie, Illinois, serving schools from the greater Chicago area, Southern Wisconsin and North Western Indiana.

Hosted in the North Shore Center For The Performing Arts, home of the North Light Theatre, the Skokie showcase, otherwise known as Centreeast, is a veteran operation, which has offered this service to Chicago schools for many years. Everyone who is anyone in the business of providing school assemblies in the Chicago area will be there, all together under one roof for school representatives to view and meet. There are Storytellers, and Scuba Divers and Jugglers and Rope Twirlers and Science Shows and History Shows and Clowns and Magicians and Lincolns and Twains and Tubbmans and every other kind of show you can imagine. This year, the event will take place on Wednesday, August 31. Here is a link to the registration details:

Walk around... stop by some of the booths ... meet some performers. Or save yourself a little time and just come to the Mobile Ed booth because we have most all of the programs all under one roof, all with a low price but all with the highest standards. So come to Skokie! Stop by and say hi! And set up all your school assembly and enrichment programs for the coming year. See you there!
