Happy birthday to us.

Happy birthday, dear Mobile Ed Productions,

Happy birthday to us!

We are celebrating today, as you can tell.

Today is our 33rd birthday. Thirty-three years ago Larry Thompson gave birth to Mobile Ed Productions in the form of a cute little tike named The Amazing World of Light, and the world of school shows, school assemblies and school assembly programs would never be the same again! No more would bored teachers and kids need to put up with tired magicians and jugglers plying their fare in frustrated schools.

From that auspicious day thirty three years ago in Michigan, schools have had the choice of seeking school assembly ideas from the ranks of curriculum based science, social studies and other areas of educational value without sacrificing entertainment. Starting from our home base in Michigan, our school shows now visit more than 6000 schools a year in more than thirty states.

Today we offer twenty-eight different world class school assemblies and school shows covering Astronomy, Geography, Math, Reading, Writing, Science, History, Bullying, Character Counts, and other subjects on the cutting edge of education. One stop shopping for those in the market for creative ideas for school assemblies or for those looking to specifically beef up a particular area of the curriculum.

As we do every year, this year we are adding new programs such as Books Made The Man! (a new school assembly focused on reading and featuring our Living Lincoln presenters!) as well as completely refurbishing some perennial favorites that are in need of new props and set pieces (Chemistry! It Really Matters! and Forces And Motion!) while also introducing our client schools to some awesome new and talented school assembly performers (Renee Allen). So, in the world of school assemblies, we are raising the bar once again, and looking forward to another fabulous year of providing our friends with the best school assemblies and school shows on the market at the very best prices and with the world class customer support you have come to expect!

In may be our birthday, but it is you, our client schools that get the presents! How cool is that?
