benjamin franklin educational assembly show mobile ed

Mobile Ed Productions proudly presents Benjamin Franklin, the amazing inventor, author, printer, politician, and founding father who charms audiences of all ages.

Ben begins his one-man presentation in authentic colonial costume, discussing his childhood (he was one of 17 children!) and why he has 2 birth years! Wondering why his breeches (pants) only go to his knees? Ben will tell you! He’ll also describe life in colonial Philadelphia and how he became the First Post Master and created:

      • The first post office
      • The first firefighting company
      • The first lending library

Ben also explains how he printed the first currency and shows exactly what colonial money looked like! Wondering why the ‘S’ in olden books looks like the letter ‘F’? You’ll find out!

Hey…what about that famous kite and key experiment?

Ben explains electricity and invites a few willing participants on stage to demonstrate how electricity flows through our body using a tube he made with lights and a buzzer. Ben talks about how anyone can be an inventor and mentions another inventor (Thomas Edison) and his famous light bulb.

Audiences love learning:

      • How France helped us win the war
      • Why Betsy Ross’ flag has that many stars
      • All about the Declaration of Independence
      • What really happened during the Boston Tea Party

Completely interactive, completely informative, and completely fun!
