Mobile Ed Reflects on 2025: Our Year in Review

Written by Sharon Francis | Mon, Dec 22, 2025

As December winds down and we prepare for another year ahead, it’s the perfect time to reflect on all that’s transpired in 2025. It was another exciting year for Mobile Ed, celebrating our 46th year in business doing what we love: visiting schools from coast to coast to educate students and create fun memories along the way. Even our office staff got to leave their desks and join the fun! Keep reading to see some of the highlights from our 2025.

Sharing the Joy and Imagination

Here at Mobile Ed Productions, nothing makes us happier than seeing students enjoying themselves during one of our assembly programs. When we’re tagged in a social media post full of smiling faces, we know we’re doing something right! This year, our STEAM Museum made the biggest splash on social media, starting with a visit to Saint Bernard Catholic Academy in New York in January, who were kind enough to share footage of their students exploring STEAM concepts at all the different stations.

In February, the Fair Oaks Ranch PTA hosted the STEAM Museum for its students, recounting the experience in an Instagram post:

We had the exciting opportunity to travel to Mount Vernon, Ohio, to join East Elementary’s STEAM Night this past March. The event was a huge success, earning us high marks from the staff:

Sarah was AMAZING! She was kind, organized, knowledgeable and had great management of the students and volunteers!

Our STEAM Museum proved to be the perfect addition for summer learning, having traveled to Sun Valley, California in June to give the students of Fenton Academies the opportunity to explore, build, and discover. Our portable museum also made its way over to the South Bronx, New York in July to combine learning and fun for “Fun Friday” at the Storefront Academy. In August, the campers at Camp Herrlich in New York got to experience our unique exhibits that left them feeling excited about STEAM concepts.

Every camper left that room smiling, thinking, and excited about STEAM. Thank you so much, Mobile Ed Productions.

Building New Connections Face-to-Face

This year, it wasn’t just our performers who packed up their equipment and hit the road! The first stop on our adventure was the local PTO Today Expo in Novi, Michigan—just a hop, skip, and a jump from our office in Redford. Not only did our Regional Sales Managers (RPMs) get the opportunity to speak directly with PTO members about our programs, but we got to do a little “show and tell” by bringing a few exhibits from our STEAM Museum for parents and teachers to try firsthand.

The next stop on our adventure took us a bit further south: Florida, to be exact! This time, we had sufficient space to set up our two famous domed exhibits: the SkyDome Planetarium and the Earth Dome, giving PTA members a sneak peek at some of the most popular and exciting educational experiences we have to offer their students.

Creating Newsworthy Moments for Students

One of the most delightful surprises for Mobile Ed is discovering that one of our assemblies was featured in the local news. These articles not only highlight the community-building nature of our programs but also give students a direct voice to recount how these exciting experiences have impacted their learning. Such was the case with Canyon Creek Elementary School in North Texas, where students experienced the Earth Dome presentation this past February. A couple of students even got to express to Fox 4 News how the giant, inflatable globe helped them better understand the Earth's scale:

I was so surprised, I didn’t know it was gonna be this big!

Not to be outdone, our SkyDome Planetarium made it to print as well, following a visit to Ohio to join Riverside Elementary’s STREAM Night, as featured in the Bellefontaine Examiner. This exciting event encouraged students to “Reach for the Stars” by bringing outer space down to Earth and showing students the many awe-inspiring feats of astronauts who were once students just like them. Likewise, Farmington River Elementary in Massachusetts had the opportunity to experience this “otherworldly” planetarium-style assembly. Multiple students were quoted in the Berkshire Edge article, expressing how the immersive experience impacted their curiosity and understanding of the universe in their own words, and perhaps underlining why the SkyDome Planetarium remains the most popular of our programs after all these years.

Our STEAM Museum, however, seems to be “gaining steam” with students this year, as well! After setting up shop at Ferry Elementary in Michigan, students and teachers raved to Grosse Pointe News about the hands-on nature of each exhibit and the opportunity for students to experiment with programmable robots, virtual reality, and high-powered microscopes. The STEAM Museum also traveled to Webster Parish this summer, helping to launch its Discovery Camp. The Minden Press-Herald showcased the camp’s many exhibits, recounting how students eagerly explored and experimented station by station. This exciting event earned us a glowing “report card”:

The STEAM Museum is amazing! The kids absolutely loved it. The instructor was very professional and made the overall experience a 10/10. I would recommend Mobile Ed Productions to any library looking to incorporate the STEAM Museum into their programming!
