Great School Shows In Store For The Great State Of Texas

Written by Geoff Beauchamp | Thu, Sep 5, 2013

As a Michigan School Assembly company, producing shows out of our humble little headquarters here in Redford, Michigan, we like to remind our clients that our reach goes way beyond Michigan.

Obviously, almost all our awesome shows are available here at home, and in all the states close to Michigan, but our tours range far afield and far from home. All in all we visit more than thirty states, from California to Maine and from Minnesota to Texas.

And today we would like to shine a little love on the Lone Star State down South!

We have a really amazing and varied slate of absolutely bodacious school assemblies headed to Texas this Fall!

Kicking off the year we will be crossing the State with a trio of super shows, promising something for everyone.

Greg Carter brings his magic bag of school shows to Texas this Fall. In his sophomore year with Mobile Ed, but far from a rookie, Greg has years of school show experience under his belt. His original love is for all things wild, and his first love is his natural science, live animal show called The Circle of Life. But Greg is also a literary lover and is well suited to The Treasure of the Six Traits, a really cool writing program. But for an early in the year experience, you just can't top an anti bullying show and Greg delivers this with The No Bully Zone.

A quick word about bullying.... there are two main schools of thought when teaching anti bullying tactics. One is based in the work from the OLWEUS group. This is the style used by Greg in The No Bully Zone. But there is another regimen based in the work of psychologist Izzy Kalman, called Bullies to Buddies. Our other anti bullying programs Stronger Than a Bully and You've Got a Friend, both with stellar performer David Mitchell, are based in Bullies to Buddies.

Well, Texas is indeed fortunate this year, as both our anti bullying programs are available there, with The No Bully Zone in september and Stronger Than a Bully in January and February. That is a 1-2 punch to beat the band!

Following up on such a super cool September is tough, but we have you covered!

For October Texas schools can look forward to three of our most popular school shows, bar none! In October we have David Killian traveling the highways of Tejas with our awesome Earth Dome, and our amazing Sky Dome Planetarium. Both of these are among our absolutely most popular shows. But David carries a third fabulous science assembly. Physics is Fun is a 45 minute excitement packed science show sure to amaze. But Physics is Fun is also available with an all day hands on science workshop format that will be the event of your year. With more than a dozen different workstations and the ability to amaze nearly 500 students a day, this is a science event you will want for sure.

Halloween is certainly a good time for entertaining a portable planetarium in your school, but if you miss getting a date before pumpkin night do not despair. Though David will be wrapping up in late october in Texas, his good friend Robert will be arriving, also bringing the Sky Dome to Texas, and he will be around right through Christmas. So our Sky Dome is available in Texas from early October right through the end of the year. And Robert carries some other shows, too!

Tired of bullying programs but still want a good show about character values? Try our Inspector Iwannano, based in Character Counts and the Six Pillars of Character. And just in case you are simply looking for something that is just plain fun (while still managing to get across some science) Robert can deliver that, too, with The Magic of Science!

So, it is going to be an absolutely killer Fall in Texas! And with David Mitchell kicking off the Winter with Stronger Than a Bully, Imathimation, Reading! More Than Words! And the incomparable Ben Franklin, the cold months are also covered.

What could be better?

Shhh! Don't tell.... but our brand new, over the top, fantastic science extravaganza The STEM Museum, fresh off a sold out stay in the Midwest, cruises in to Texas this Spring.

Heh, heh, heh....

It is going to be quite some year for school shows and school assemblies in Texas!
