School Assemblies in Jail - Try Not To Get Arrested!

Posted on Wed, Feb 23, 2011

school assembliesMobile Ed has been producing school assemblies for 31 years. In that time we have done school assemblies in schools all over the country. But we have also performed in many other settings. Libraries, Senior Citizen facilities, and Cub Scout events are common for us. We have also had performers doing school assemblies in museums and sometimes at private corporate events. And we have even been to jail!

Wait, that doesn’t sound right, does it? Of course, what I mean is that our school assemblies have been performed in jails. Many county level correctional institutions house inmate education facilities. We have often been called upon to perform programs in these centers, and our programs have always been well received.

Seems a young fellow just starting out as a Lincoln impersonator thought it would be cool to give the Gettysburg Address at the Lincoln Memorial on Presidents Day. Have to give him credit for that! But apparently he made the mistake of passing the hat for donations and was given a ticket for panhandling on Federal property by Park Service rangers. Oh, no!

Still you don’t need to visit the Lincoln Memorial to see Abraham Lincoln. Just give us a call and we will arrange to have Mr. Lincoln come and visit you with a really great school assembly!
