Space Stations, Hurricanes and Portable Planetarium School Shows

I really love what we do! Bringing an excitement about science to kids through awesome science assemblies is exciting in itself! Seeing their faces filled with awe and knowing we had a part in creating that awe is a wonderfully fulfilling feeling!

Today we have a picture from NASA that is guaranteed to produce assemblies sky dome 1 resized 600

Taken from the International Space Station last year, the picture shows Hurricane Earl over Puerto Rico. You would never know from this altitude that Earl was a class 4 storm with winds of 135 miles per hour! It looks so peaceful with the sunlight gleaming on the solar panels. Just awesome!

The exploration of space by man, machine or telescope is an amazing endeavor and one that holds so much intense feeling for most people of this world. How can you not be moved by the images sent back to us here at home?

science assembliesThe same holds true for children first exposed to many of these marvels when their school is visited by a portable planetarium such as our Sky Dome. With state of the art computer generated graphics, Sky Dome produces an experience vastly superior to the portable planetariums of yesterday and rivals that of full scale brick and mortar facilities, yet at a fraction of the cost.

As children view the stars and are transported towards the ends of the universe their eyes fill with wonder and their mouths drop open in amazement. Do you remember the first time you really saw the stars? How can you forget? They never will assemblies

I love this job!
