martin luther king school assemblyI had to share this. As January kicks off and Schools begin to enjoy our Martin Luther King school assembly program, reports begin to come back. I spoke to representatives of two schools this morning and thought I would share their responses.martin luther king school assembly

In Bath, Ohio, we recently visited Old Trail School. The performer is named Rojo, and he has been with us for some years and is a favorite in many schools. Here is what I heard this morning from the coordinator in Bath, Ohio:

“Well at first I was a little apprehensive, as it started out a little slow in the beginning, but, oh my word! As soon as he picked up the mike and began to speak the first words of one of D. King’s speeches it was electric! From then on the program was absolutely mesmerizing! The children loved it, and everyone learned something! My son and I have visited the MLK center, but even so we came away with things we had never heard before. Rojo was great!”

“He was awesome! Everyone has been talking about him ever since the show, in class and in the halls. It was wonderful! The principal is so upset because she had to be a principals meeting and missed the show. When she heard everyone talking about how great it was she was so disappointed she had missed it!”

Well, we hear comments like this all the time.

Rojo is a funny, dynamic and multitalented performer whose skills as an actor and entertainer are way over the top. Last summer I had him out to our neighborhood picnic in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and he donned clown attire to entertain all of the neighborhood children at the event. We were treated to Mother Nature's finest summer rain that day and it would have been a disaster for the kids, but for Rojo. He enthusiastically worked with the children and kept their spirits high and their minds delighted all afternoon despite the rain. It turned out to be a great day because of his dedication and creative, positive energy.Martin Luther King school assembly

Rojo is truly a force of nature whether as Dr. Martin Luther King or in any of his other guises!

Schools looking for assemblies in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and throughout the Midwest can schedule MLK with Rojo. He also performs two other programs for us, Skydome Planetarium and Inspector Iwannano, and his tour will also take him to the East Coast later this school year. If you are seeking ideas for ways to celebrate Martin Luther King or Black History Month, the Martin Luther King program is an excellent choice. But don’t hesitate, though we have additional tours in addition to Rojo, most are close to selling out!Martin Luther King school assemblies
