New Jersey school assemblies 10 18 2011 resized 600On a cheerier note than my last entry, we recently received this nice review from a client school in New Jersey:

"Thank you for your kind note as a follow-up to "The Living Abe Lincoln" program at the Midland School last week.  As I have mentioned to Ken Jacobs, we are always pleased with the Mobile Ed programs, and it is most appreciated that Mobile Ed Productions continues to provide such quality programs at an affordable price. It allows us to continue to offer educational and entertaining assemblies to coordinate with our school curriculum.  Thank you so very much!"

Gratefully,
MaryDee Atkins
Coordinator of Assembly Programs
The Midland School

Ordinarily, most of our clients choose to host our Living Lincoln program closer to Presidents day in February, but we do have schools that enjoy the program at other times, and this performance took place quite recently. The performer was our stalwart friend from Chicago, Mr. Jeff Hoge, currently on tour in New Jersey and other Eastern states with his Lincoln program, as well as Our Changing Climate, Crime Scene Science and Young Authors Day, our wonderful creative writing school assembly.

New Jersey schools should hurry to arrange a date for a school assembly with Jeff as it won’t be long before he is headed back to Illinois! But never fear! Jeff will be back in New Jersey this spring just in time to bring our environmental science school assembly Our Changing Climate to New Jersey schools around Earth Day!

As for Mr. Lincoln, well, bad news for New Jersey Schools but good news for schools in Illinois and Texas. This winter, during “Lincoln Season”,  Jeff will not be available to New Jersey schools.

Instead, he will be mesmerizing students in schools in Illinois and then Texas. Chicago schools wishing a visit from our 16th President should hurry to arrange a date as openings are filling quickly, as are open dates for our school friends in the great state of Texas.

But the good news for East Coast schools is that an old friend of ours is returning to perform The Living Lincoln in New Jersey schools and elsewhere on the East Coast this winter. Richard Waddingham, a marvelous actor and a great Lincoln, and a resident of New Jersey will be donning the black stove pipe hat again to enthrall students with tales of the life of the Illinois “rail-splitter”. Richard has worked for us in past seasons and is an awesome Abe. So New Jersey school need not fear! Mr. Lincoln is on his way to you this winter. But call soon as dates are filling quickly!

By the way, it is always nice to hear from schools that recognize the bargain that Mobile Ed school assemblies provide to schools. We strive to provide high quality educational assemblies for schools at a price schools can actually afford. And we do not charge additional fees for travel and lodging. Refreshing, isn't that?
