chicago school assembliesHere at Mobile Ed we are pretty excited! And we have some good reason!

First, we are approaching a new school year which is always exciting. The year has actually started in some places. We also have reason to be excited because we are starting this year with some great new school shows and some amazing new school assembly performers.

As a matter of fact, reviews have already started to come in! Just last week we had The Treasure of The Six Traits at a school in West Elkton Kentucky and the principal there, Ms. Contessa Orr, raved about the show.

“Awesome! Kids were smiling! Teachers were smiling! The best school assembly we have ever had from Mobile Ed and we have had some really goods ones!”

Boy, do we love to hear comments like this!

But the real reason we are so excited this week I … wait for it ….. road trip! This week we are hitting the road to visit the Windy City, Chicago, Illinois!

On Wednesday this week we will join with a whole world of other school assembly performers to help stage the annual school assembly performers showcase in Skokie, Illinois. Referred to for years as simply the CenterEast Showcase, this event is the grand dowager of school assembly showcases, where for many years PTO and PTA representatives from schools all over the greater Chicago area as well as from schools in Southern Wisconsin, North Western Indiana and even from our home state of Michigan, come together to meet and talk to hundreds of school assembly performers from all over but who all make their shows available in the greater Chicago area.

For school reps, this is one stop shopping at it's best! At the showcase in Skokie you can view showcase excerpts from many shows, and talk directly with performers offering many many types of shows, everything from Abraham Lincoln impersonators to Dancers, Science shows to Storytellers, Poets to Planetariums. It is a smorgasbord of school shows!

We love visiting with other performers and friends, but also having the opportunity to meet and get to know so many of our clients from schools all over the area. Normally, we do a lot of this by telephone and email, but there is no real substitute for meeting face to face and sharing information about all the programs. We look forward to this event all year long!

So if you are in the area, come on out on Wednesday and say hi! You will have a great time, and we will be looking forward to talking to you!
