Education Through Entertainment

The Mobile Ed COVID-19 Response

Posted on Mon, Oct 4, 2021

The quick and dangerous spread of COVID-19 took everyone by surprise in 2020, but Mobile Ed Productions, Inc. is always ready to serve your students. Through a pandemic or not, our commitment to delivering high-quality, educational entertainment hasn’t wavered. Mobile Ed sets strict safety standards for our performers to maintain when traveling across the country or presenting through your screen.

Rules around COVID-19 safety are constantly modified and vary in different cities and states. Since we serve schools across the country, we want our teachers, students, and parents to know that your safety and high-quality education remains a priority no matter your district’s restrictions. We adhere and cater to all applicable guidelines and regulations—even going above and beyond by implementing our own additional sanitary precautions and procedures.

In order to educate and inform most effectively, students must feel safe physically and psychologically (Goodwin University). The same can be true for educators as well; teachers who fear for their safety may not perform as well. Our team has eliminated any reason to feel unsafe when bringing our programs into your school or attending one of our programs virtually.

Here is what Mobile Ed Productions is doing for your students to keep them safe during our assemblies:

  1. Virtual Assemblies

Mobile Ed Productions introduced virtual assemblies in late 2020 to educate students right from the comfort and safety of their homes. Virtual assemblies can be performed to an in-person classroom audience or remote audiences. A virtual assembly uses Zoom or other meeting software (whichever is most convenient for you), high-speed internet, HD camera, and more to deliver a clear, consistent, and reliable presentation. See which of our assemblies are available as a virtual assembly.

  1. Sanitization

All of our equipment used in our assemblies, including props and various technologies, are properly sanitized between presentations using highly effective, safe, and natural cleaning agents..

  1. Masks

Our performers use clear masks to keep your staff and students protected while making it possible to properly hear the presenter and to see their expressions.

  1. Reduced Capacity

For our shows where students must be enclosed in a small space, such as the Sky Dome Planetarium, capacity can be reduced for the students’ safety. Click here to learn more about the SkyDome program.

  1. Follows Your Guidelines

One of the challenges COVID-19 has brought about is the fact that each district has reacted and decided to handle it differently. Our team is flexible and ready to serve each school according to your set guidelines and needs. Please speak with one of our sales consultants about your school’s needs when booking one of our assemblies and don’t hesitate to mention any special requests or concerns.

Navigating education through a pandemic is challenging, no doubt about it. This post from the Mobile Ed Production, Inc. blog offers sound advice for students who may struggle with pandemic-related anxiety in school.

No matter what city you’re in, our team will come prepared to your physical or virtual classroom to serve your students through safe, high-quality educational entertainment. You can view our large selection of assemblies on our website and speak with our sales team at 800-433-7459.
