As we march inexorably toward the first days of a new school year, many of us are faced with searching out ideas for school assemblies and shows to bolster the curriculum while providing a welcome break from class time for students and teachers alike. Moreover, in these days of rising costs and shrinking budgets, field trips are more and more a rapidly fading memory for many schools. So the search is on for the best possible use of what limited funds remain in order to provide students with the best bang for the buck.

Scientists have known for years that the climate of our planet fluctuates from time to time, growing warmer in some periods and colder in others. Sometimes change occurs slowly, and other times fairly rapidly.

Wow! I just read an article I found fascinating! In China they are working on a chemical treatment for clothing. Why is that interesting? Because this treatment would allow clothing to be “cleaned” by simply hanging in the sun. Cool, huh?

Most schools like to have professional assembly programs visit their building from time to time. After all, school assemblies, are fun, entertaining, and, if you pick the right ones, a great way to teach kids and augment the curriculum using tools and techniques most schools do not have available in house.

2012 is shaping up to be a truly great year for science assembly programs! Driving to work this morning at my usual time I happily noticed that the sky was much lighter than it had been a month ago, and I loved the thought that Spring is coming!

February is now upon us, and march is right around the corner, when we along with many other school show performers and school assembly companies begin scheduling for the coming year.
