Mobile Ed Productions, Inc. has been the leader in education-based entertainment since 1979. Passionate about education in young students, our team aims to make learning interactive and engaging for students of all ages covering a variety of subjects. 42 years later, we are now serving educators across the nation via in-person and virtual educational assemblies. 

Our Story

A school teacher and administrator in the Livonia Public Schools, Larry Thompson knew there was a need to make his school lessons more enjoyable for his students and saw a lack of assemblies available for schools. Thompson, as seen in this photo, was also a televised magician and sidekick to Bozo the Clown known as Mr. Whoodini. After airing the show each morning, he’d run over to his classroom to start teaching (sometimes still in his costume!). His students thought this was so cool! Larry Thompson founded Mobile Ed Productions, Inc. with his father-in-law, Norman Seay, in Redford, Michigan, back in 1979 to bring a little magic to his classroom.
